Our Ethical Principles

Do No Harm

Before asking "will users like this?" we ask "could this hurt someone?"

This principle guides everything we build—from consumer apps to enterprise systems. We believe AI should help people thrive, not exploit their attention, data, or vulnerabilities.

1. No Exploitation

  • No dark patterns or manipulative design
  • No addiction mechanics (infinite scroll, variable rewards, FOMO)
  • No guilt or shame in our products
  • No selling user data. Ever.

2. Privacy by Design

  • Minimal data collection—only what's necessary
  • Local-first architecture when possible
  • Transparent about what we collect and why
  • Users own their data—we're just stewards

3. Accessible AI

  • Products that work for diverse minds (ADHD, anxiety, neurodivergent users)
  • Simple interfaces that don't overwhelm
  • Technology that gets out of the way
  • WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards

4. Honest Business

  • Clear, fair pricing with no hidden fees
  • Easy cancellation—no friction or guilt
  • No artificial urgency or scarcity tactics
  • We earn trust through quality, not tricks

The Therapist Test

"Would we be comfortable if a user's therapist reviewed our product?"

If the answer isn't "yes," we redesign. This simple test keeps us honest and ensures our products genuinely help rather than harm.

Our Commitments to Users

  • We will never sell your personal data to third parties
  • We will be transparent about how our AI systems work
  • We will give you control over your data
  • We will design for inclusion and accessibility
  • We will admit mistakes and fix them promptly
  • We will prioritize user wellbeing over engagement metrics
